One of the worst parts about having a nice garden or a nice looking yard is weed control. If you asked any gardener or landscaper what his or her most frustrating part of their job is, they will probably say controlling weeds and dandelions. Weeds choke the life out of our plants and vegetables and also make your yard look bad. Controlling them takes a lot of time and energy. Today, we are going to review the best tool for removing weeds and dandelions.

There are basically 2 different ways to remove weeds. One is with chemicals and the other is manually. I am not a big fan of using chemicals unless it is needed. I like to think that I am doing the environment a favor when I remove weeds manually. So today, we are just going to go over and review the tools that manually remove the weeds and dandelions.

  • Easy to use-because removing weeds is not a fun job, you want to make sure that you get a tool that is easy to use. You are probably going to have to remove a lot of weeds over time, so get one that your job nice and easy.

Established in 1649, (yes, I had to look this up to make sure it was correct and yes, it is one of the oldest companies out there today!!!) Fiskars makes products that will make your life easier.   • Works on crabgrass too.
  • Good on your back
  • Removes roots
  • Has lever to drop weed and root after picked up-GREAT FEATURE!!!
  • One of the top tools out there

Some things we didn't like

  • Doesn't work great on hard ground
  • Need gloves if using for a long period of time

Radius Garden 205 Pro Ergonomic Stainless Steel Weeder

Another great stand up weeder is the Radius Garden 205 Pro Ergonomic Stainless Steel Weeder. We really liked how well this tool was made and also like it enough to put it on our list as one of the best tool for removing weeds and dandelions.   • Very easy to use
  • Can get a lot of weeds fast!

  • Works best in soft soil
