Uses of the Best Trail Camera Under 100-150 Dollars

The beauty of trail cameras is that they can be used in different ways and for many different things. Here are some of the great uses of a trail camera:

  • Find what is eating your plants-like I said above, how can you protect your lawn and garden if you don't know what to protect it from? Trail cameras let you find out what is eating your plants while you sleep. Just hook the trail camera up to your computer and see what is ruining your garden!
  • Observe wildlife-this is one of my favorite ways to use a trail camera. You can put the trail camera somewhere in your yard where you can view wildlife at night. Then, in the morning, you can hook your trail camera up to your computer and see what sort of wildlife comes into your yard at night. I have see foxes, coyotes, deer, wood chucks and all sorts of different animals on my trail camera. It's a cool little hobby!!
  • Hunting-obviously this is one of the most popular uses of a trail camera. You basically put the trail cameras out to see if there is deer or other game that you are hunting on the land that you are thinking about hunting on. It is a great way to check for wildlife without wasting the whole week!!!
  • Observe everything else in your yard-it's amazing what you see on trail cameras and what you can use them for. You can catch unwanted people in your yard, neighbor's pets in you yard, or anything else that you can imaging in your yard or garden. It's an inexpensive tool to use for this.

Best Trail Camera Under 100-150 Dollars-What To Look For

When you are looking to purchase the best trail camera under 100-150 dollars, there are certain things to look for. Not all trail cameras are the same, and remember, you get what you pay for. There are other trail cameras under $100, but they are not as good as the ones I am going to review. So, here are some important features to look for when purchasing your trail camera:

  • Price-obviously this is one of the most important features. You don't want to break the bank when purchasing a trail camera, but you don't want to buy the cheapest one either.
  • Lightweight-make sure you get a trail camera that is lightweight. It makes it easier to set up around your yard. You don't want a big bulky camera that falls down at night!!
  • Night time recording-if you are going to use the trail camera at night, you obviously want a trail camera that works at night. All of the trail cameras that I will review work at night.
  • Trigger speed-this is how fast a trail camera takes a picture after it detects motion. You want a quick trigger speed if you want to catch the faster animals on your trail camera. However, if you just want to catch videos and pictures of animals in one spot, like your garden, then the trigger speed isn't so important.
  • Recovery time-this is how long a camera takes to get ready for the next picture after is takes a picture. The faster the recovery time, the faster a trail camera takes the next picture. Like I said above, if you have the trail camera facing your garden, then the recovery time is not that important. However, if you want to catch all of the fast moving wildlife in your yard, you may want a trail camera with faster trigger speed and recovery time.
